You’ve heard about it, maybe your clients have even asked about it.
“This halal brow thing, is it like… giving yellow brows?”
Or maybe it showed up on your feed and you’re wondering: what even is halal brows and how does it work? Well sis, let’s clear it up together.
The halal brow finish (also called “modest brows”) is a technique designed for mulsimsclients who don’t want to pluck, but still want a clean, lifted, defined brow. And yes, the demand is growing. Whether you’ve already had requests or not, this is something that could attract a brand-new clientele:
Muslim women who are looking for a faith-aligned option, or any woman who wants to stop plucking but still keep her brows on point. If your current clients aren’t asking for it yet, don’t worry. This technique can bring you a whole new market.
Step one: understand the rules.
This is a faith-based treatment, and clients will expect you to respect that. You don’t need to do all the research yourself though, I’ve already done the work.
I’ve created a method that lets you replicate a freshly plucked look without removing a single hair. The secret? Bleach.
But not just any bleach. You’ll need to know how to use it safely, how long to leave it, how to mix it, and which bleach works best for different skin tones.
(Spoiler: not all bleaches work on all brows.)
Before you even get to bleaching, your mapping needs to be flawless. This technique is all about precision. One bad line and the whole result looks off. So if your mapping isn’t 10/10 yet, that’s your first step.
Step 2: Tools matter (a lot more than you think)
When you’re working on a no-pluck finish, every single hair counts. You need brushes that give you full control, not just your usual tint brush or something you found in a nail kit.
That’s why I created the MHB Bleach Brushes, designed specifically for halal brows. Thin enough for detail, strong enough for control, soft enough for client comfort. They’re a game changer.
Step 3: Mapping
Once your mapping is clean, NEAT and your tools are ready, you can move to the bleach step. Just like lamination or tinting, this is not something you guess your way through or DIY with random Amazon products.
You’re a pro, use pro products.
In my training, I share the exact bleach I tested across all hair types and skin tones. Thick brows, fine brows, dark skin, pale skin, it works. It’s safe, and it gets results your clients will love.
But bleach alone won’t get you certified. You still need to learn how to:
explain it to clients
adapt the result to each face
manage aftercare
avoid skin sensitivity
and practice until it’s perfect.
In my “Ditch the Tweezers” course, you get everything: tutorials, mapping guides, bleach application walkthroughs, product links, and personal feedback from me.
You’ll send me your work on a model and I’ll give you tips to improve until your technique is solid. And when it is? You get your ABT-accredited certificate and you're fully insurable, ready to offer halal brows like a pro.
